hi aman ihad used one bio product for tomato leafcurl virus. it was somewhat effective. i will post the name of thhe product soon. just forgot it.
u also read-------Topic: Resistance against diseases by Fungi, Bacteria, Nematodes & Virus - need testers-------- in this forum. it seems that Mr VIKS has also used this product
Does any of you have dr abhay’s number. ??
If yes, please post it here or send it through mail
Thank you
Aman
hey Aman,
sorry missed out on the pics yesterday, i logged on, but then was in a hurry to go out.
anyways… firstly. its not mildew… nor is it virus… so relax on that bit.
the main reason why i get confused is that different people have different views, they use different language, different terms, and i get wooed… but then there are certain symptoms which i can observe, but never know why they occur. only a few people might know the actual science.
Aman, when we are growing thousands of plants, it is very quiet normal that some plants will show symptoms which are different from the majority and make me scratch my head.
now about ur case… there many be two reasons…
so what do we do when we are not sure… we make further observations… are the plants in groups ? or are they individual plants in sections ?
its good that you have noticed the plants at an early stage… so next is we take sprays to prevent… and not waste time in waiting for the infection to spread.
Mr.Ak has suggested a good combination… you can also look for Spinosad (biological + contact ) and take Clothianidin (broad spectrum + systematic) this is specially for a quick control and then further prevent, so broad spectrum.

hey Mr.Ak,
long time!
yes, i know Dr.Abhay, and have interacted with him. met him thru FN only.
very knowledgeable gentleman and he helped answer most of my questions. he was very kind enough to ship me samples for trials.
his medicine is more on resistance building, where as my way of working is to eliminate the carriers of any infestation. i have had enough of virus since a very long time, and am not at all willing to take chances. so i am focusing on whiteflies. i make sure i have special sprays for whiteflies only once in a week.
cause a plant infected with virus can NEVER be retained. there has been study worldwide and no cure has been found. only prevention is possible.
but then that doesnt mean that one cant take production from virus infected plants.
my point is that if there is heavy damage from virus, and if its worth to keep the site running (good market rate for produce) then there are ways to still take ok dokie production from such plants.

Aman, forgot about ur flowering problem…
it seems that you have had waited for all your fruits to develop and do a single time harvest of your first set of flowers/fruits.
so now you have harvested all your fruits, its obvious that there will be a break.
start on 12x61x00, 52x34x00 now, so new shootings start developing and so do the flowers.
keep a mandatory spray of nitro benzene and boron (i keep telling this again and again) but i use this and have seen the results.
flower development we have discussed a lot. and that is how it works for capsicum.
so change ur fertigation a bit, stop K and give a bit of N & P.
N will divert power towards new leaf/shoot development and P will start promoting buds.
a break is sure to come when the first batch is harvested. soon as the plants/shoots grow, you will have all four stages (bud, flower, little fruit, big fruit) on your plant. and that should be the target to have a continuous production.

12:61:0 i have started using, with little of 0:0:50 for the fruits that are still on the plants, for them to ripe and grow bigger.
are you suggesting 52:34:0 or 0:52:34 ?
for the deficiency of copper i will take a spray of edta copper 14% tomorrow itself, and for thrips i just took it a day back(the same molecule that mr. rk suggested) so i think that will cover, if it doesn’t i will take a higher molecule (the one you suggested)
thank you
Aman
hello viks and everyone
i have taken a spray of pegasus (difenthurion)syngenta + tetracycline and streptomycin today.
pegasus has always been my last and final attack to all the sucking pests because it gives tremendous and quick results. also, i took a spray of imidacloprid and acetamiprid earlier but couldnt see any effect of it on the pest population. so this was my final spray today.
what do you guys think about the pictures ?
what else should i do for it ?
your suggestions are always welcome !!
Aman
hello all
did another 4 quintal harvest of color capsicum today,
excited about the prices, fingers crossed !!
attaching some pictures

Congratulations Aman. Keep it up
Hai Vivek, nikhil, aman and friends,
sorry for not participating in the discussion. Had been going through pretty tough times personally and business related. Lots of issues, problems, finance squeese etc. Though I had following all the discusions, I had been working and waiting for these times to pass by. Anyway thats a different and un necessary topic.
Coming to our farming work, Planted on Feb 25th, its been hell lot of experiance. The world I live is completely new to capsicum, net houses, training etc. So I myself am learning ABCs of farming, so I learn, experiment and teach my ever changing labourers ! Everything from tilling the soil, preparing the land, enriching it, making ridges, net house, planting, irrigation, fertigation, sprays, pest and disease management, plant support systems, tiying the plants, pruning, flowering, weeding (one of the biggest headaches for me), bud formation, falling plants, diying plants, wilting plants, rotting roots, rotting stems, leaf eaters, virus, humidity, temperature, and what not. It was a hell of experiance. Good I am still hanging on and learnt a lot. Though could take help from our farming community, was guided and helped in all aspects till marketing by Mr Ravi Kumar of Bangalore. Though Vivek gave me the much needed confidance and basic know how to even venture into farming. Thanks Vivek ( sounds like a thanks giving note ! ).
Attached some pics of my shade net (4000 sq mtr approx) and plants. I had planted 3 rows of tomato since I fell short of capsicum seedlings, and as you see they are growing vigoursley ! have crossed my height long back, don’t know how to support with my support just a meare 8 feet tall ! Have harvested my first capsicums yesterday ( 63 days since planting ). A small quantity, 850 kg as we had been removing all the flowering till 2 weeks back. There are lots of flowers, buds and developing fruits and expect 1500 kg next week. Haven’t graded since the market is not demanding, except small ones less than 75 g packed in bags. The rest packed in carton boxes, fresh and good quality is what the trader in chennai asked for. So able to find market and got around Rs 17 per kg after deducting commission and handling charges. Guess better than what it was 2 weeks back ( around 9 to 10 rs ).
The big problmes before me, I have used jute thresds, and support was delayed quite a bit, so plants falling completed single support, by them stems started falling, so started other 2 or 3 supports per plant, and thats going on at snail’s pace. The humidity and temp inside the net house is horrible, can’t stay for even half hour ! Its like a natural sauna. I get drenched in sweat top to bottom. I want the people to start from 6 am and work till 11 and then from 3 to 6 in the evening, but they don’t listen. Need to find and get some permamnent people and schedule working hours comfortable and efficient to work. Then the weeds, oh god, they grow in a weeks time and its kind of jungle ! Had removed manually 3 times, but they are pretty stuborn and vigorus. Am trying to get the right machines and tools to fight this problem. Then the sprays is still I am trying to figure out, though using knak pack hired ones temporarly. And then the continous fungal and virus attacks. I am learning though, so next time I will have to concentrate on prevention with bio products rather than curative chemical products. Though this crop, they don’t give enough time to even think and plan forget implemetation. Though I am using panchagavya, some bio pesticides and fungicides, not able to observe the results and plan, as I am constantly struck with problems issues, work apart from my business activities thats in a pretty bad shape these days !
So a good, long story. I need to stay focused and work so that tomorrow will get better ! And I would love to work on agriculture and see what I can do in the field ( forward and backward integration in business language !). Thats still a far dream and long journey. Hope to be more active in the discussions and help each other in our activities.
narasimha
Thanks Viks for all detailed information!
would like to visit your farms!
regards,
Pradip
hey Aman,
congrats man ! feels good when the harvesting starts and money starts comming in aye ?
must have been a pain till now… but thats how it is… no pain… no gain right ?
Aman, u need to work out on thrives rather than white flies…pegasus is my ultimate molecule for whiteflies… imidacloprid and acetamiprid, these all are for whiteflies!
but we are having thrives… so u need to change your action plan.
about the scortched leaves, it is of no use to remove them, u’ll have to take additional fungicides after that, so let the leaves be as they are if u dont want to sweat.
about the fruits, you need to work a bit on the shape, noticed round shape in the red variety.
also share packing, transport and other hidden costs that come along with
Vivek
Congratulations to you too Mr.Narasimha,
came back with a blast
nice to hear from you, also about the experience till now.
sad to know that your in a low phase, but that will pass off. i go thru these phases on a daily basis
we are all ears if you would wana share something, and if we could be of any help.
god bless !

Man everytime you post somethingn here, their is ‘ting’ on my mobile and i start checking what’s the new update !!
What should i do for thrives because i think imida isnt working anymore on them. ?
Also, did u see the latest pictures i posted yesterday ? What do u think has happened to my dear plants
They look really sick of something, their height has kind of reduced or probably m just hallucinating !
Dr. Abhay says its virus onething, after looking at my earlier post of pictures The one you said should be copper deficiency. I have taken a copper edta spray for that.
What should be my next plan of action ? What you would have done in this situation ?
Aman
Aman,
Virus attack will make the leaves a bit yellowish and swollen veins. thrives and viral symptoms are almost similar. heavy leaf curling, but virus will make the leaves yellowish also. attaching picture.
i too was confused earlier, and would take leaf curling as virus… but it was Dr.Abhay only who helped me clear the difference
my POA for thrives,i have shared already.
hows the temperature inside ur PH ?
vvk
Temp is high
Around 44-46 degree celcius all day.
Humidity is 10%

Hi Everybody,
Yesterday, had visited a greenhouse who is into growing Gerberas. Have attached a few photos that I took. Flowering has started since the last 12-15 days and they’ve been getting 4000 flowers a day. Had gone there through the manufacturers - Indian Greenhouses Pvt. Ltd, Pune. Wanted to ask all if anybody has got greenhouse from Indian Greenhouse Pvt. Ltd?? They have installed a R.O plant as well for reducing the hardness of water. The cost quoted by IGPL is quite high - 50 lakhs for an acre, including plantation that costs 9.5 lakhs. Need your advise as towards the cost and the review of IGPL!!!
50lakhs a acre !!
Thats too much buddy, even if you get like 50 percent subsidy on this, you will require 2-3 yrs to recover your investment. Plus the plants are of 9.5 lakhs, i dont think this makes sense. Try something better and cheaper. Talk to some more companies and also reach out to tissue culture gerbera plant suppliers yourself.
