Dear Sir,
Biofarms R & D center is keenly interested to promote commercial farming. Simply giving answers to the quiries will not benefit the farmers community. so I decided to find farmers really want to enter from other professional field to Agriculture. Recently what i did i started to give technical support from planting to different stages. whenever i get any quiry from karnataka about banana i direct the farmer to my first farmer, to see how he is doing., they exchange ideas and make relationship each other.So my technology pass from one man to another, there by farmers also develop self conidence. I don’t like one man show , In my research also i give 50% importance to farmers and the out come is the success of both. same way I recently presented my technologies in an International conference, and got good response from even scientific community.Really i am happy and appreciate the Steps of Farmnet, and i will do my level best, by this type of net work in all over india, In Cardamom network -more than 2300 farmers are there and they are enjoying the fruit.

I am a software engineer. I have very keen interest in agriculture as I am from a farmer’s familly. I need suggestions from some of the agriculture expertise. we have land in tumkur where we already growing coconut trees, areca trees Can anyone give suggestions on the following points?
- Can I make money in agriculture?
- If yes which is the crop I am grow as a begginner?
- Can agriculture be made in corporate level?

- Can I make money in agriculture? - Absolutely yes. There are many things that can be done. We need to discuss about this.
- If yes which is the crop I am grow as a begginner? - Depends on climate, soil conditions, investment capability, what you are comfortable growing, how much land you have etc. There is no silver bullet answer to this.
- Can agriculture be made in corporate level? - It can be. Namdharis is a great example. There are a lot of activities in agriculture that we can do.

It is a long process. Needs a lot of dedication. I see people call me sometimes and never to reply back again. I have tried to give them all the information including the mistakes (I call them blunders) that I have done. Rather than doing ‘Net farming’, they should do real farming. I would like to thank Mr. Suresh from Biofarms who has helped me immensely. His knowledge, patience and most importantly will to help farmers is very much appreciable. I have seen a lot of so called consultants trying to make money (They are neither knowledgeable beyond normal stuff available on the net) who people can avoid.
