Hi,
I have around 100+ Agathi trees on my farm, and each of them is currently bearing seeds like the ones shown in the attached picture.
I have a few questions:
-
Can these seeds be sold commercially or used for any profitable purpose?
-
Since the trees are quite tall and not very strong, what’s the best and safest way to collect the seeds?
-
When would be the best time to harvest them?
I’d appreciate your advice on whether it’s worth harvesting and selling these seeds. It’s the white-flowered variety
Thank you!

Good to see those tall Beauties, some seeds can sold to nurseries for multiplication, if agati or agase are called as flax seeds then ofcourse there are multiple avenues where you can sell them. Usually in organic stores, or retail shop where there is demand for such foods.

Also for harvesting you simple have use poles to harvest, some can left as it is for birds…..you can break the branches….. usually people use the foliage for goat as fodder. You can use them branches and leaves for green manuring and composting
