Wanted some ideas on Vertical Farming.

I am residence of Karnataka, India. My farming lands are located near by Arabian sea. Regularly we corp sweet onions from October to April/May season. But from multiple years we are facing loss and stopped farming in that land.

Wanted to try some new corps with Vertical Farming idea, so that atleast people are in our villages can try that and still grow corps and earn money. Please provide some suggestions on how can I start with less investments and higher profit. All the suggestions are welcome and I will definately try them seperately in this year.

Vertical farming is not viable financially.
Please work out the costs and benefits before you take the step.

Which part of karnataka are you from?

Do you have soil health card of your land ? If no then get it done ( soilhealth DOT dac DOT gov DOT in ) Soil health card will provide soil nutrient status of the top and sub soil . If the soil is saline , then simply go for salt tolerant commercial plant species i.e.
1.Nipa Palm ( Nypa fruticans ) the sap of this mangrove plant species is sued for processing jaggery as Palmyra Palm , Coconut , Date Palm etc
