Cost of the roll depends on width of the fabric, and its gsm(gms per square metre.

Approx. UV treated black color fabric 1 mtr x 1 mtr of 70gsm shall be Rs 18/=.per sq.mtr.

Its life will be two years and it can be rolled and relaid after harvest.

Laying this is an technique whereby better area coverage can be effected and can be easily rerolled also.Cuts can be done at site itself after plants are sown to enable an proper mulch cover on the roots area of the plants.
Today’s technology has shown that there are machines in India which can be used for bed setting,+laying of drip pipes,+hole punching on ground+laying seed and the press laying of mulch fabrics-one operation.

Dear All,

To prevent termite problem it is better to use PPwoven mulch mats 2 mtr x 2 mtr, black in color at plant root level instead of the coconut trees husk etc.I expected such problem if we use plant waste itself .

Hence you can source this and this will not only kill weeds but it will conserve water and also prevent fertiliser leaching by weeds and its life is over 2 yrs-no need of frequent replacement as is reqd for plastic films which though cheap ends up with more costs only.
