Pump recommendation for borewell

Hi,

We have recently got a borewell dug on our newly acquired 2 acre property. Borewell was dug to 220 ft with water at 80 and 200 ft. Casing was done till 80 ft. Now we want to buy a 5hp 8 stage pump for the borewell. Can someone make me understand if that rating is sufficient or not? Also which company to purchase and any other pointers before going for it??

The property is in Holenarsipur, Hassan area and we live in Bangalore.

Initially you have to find out the yield of your well. Those people who dug your borewell know it. Moreover you have to inform the size of your bore. What are you planning to cultivate? How frequently we have to irrigate it. All these informations to be took in to the consideration before fixing the pump size. Anyway I feel 5 hp is more than you require.
