Parboiled Rice Processing Plant Is Becoming Popular in Africa Countries

PARBOILED RICE PROCESSING PLANT is becoming more and more popular in Africa countries.

After cleaning, hydro-thermal processing, paddy hulling and milling, the finished rice is called parboiled rice, preboiled rice, partially boiled rice, or converted rice. Parboiled rice has the advantages of high rice yield, high nutrition, high rice bran oil yield and long storage period.

Parboiled Rice Processing Plant has the following processing steps:

Raw rice - cleaning- soaking- steam cooking- drying and cooling-rice husking- rice milling- color sorter- parboiled rice

1.Cleaning and grading:

Without cleaning, the rice is easily to be fermented and water is easily to be polluted during soaking. Then the rice quality will be damaged. To get high quality parboiled rice, it is better to grade the rice before cleaning. Because different size rice may need different soaking and cooking time. The rice can be grade according to rice thickness, length and density.

2.Soaking:

The soaking purpose is to make rice absorb water fully, which can create necessary conditions for starch gelatinization.

3.Boiling:

Change the physical nature of endosperm, nature, keep the endosmic nutrient, increase storage time and improve eating quality.

The parboiled rice is decided by water absorption, the time contacting steam, steam temperature and pressure parameter.

Steam cooking methods include normal pressure cooking and high pressure cooking.

4.Drying and cooling:

Drying the rice water content from 36% to 14% in order to achieve convenient storage and process.

5.Hulling

After hydrothermal treatment, the rice husk is easy to be removed. When using the emery roller rice husker, operator can reduce the pressure of roller to improve production capacity and reduce consumption. After rice husking, the material goes into paddy separator to get parboiled coarse rice. Then the coarse rice goes into the rice mill to get white rice.

6.Rice milling:

You can adopt following methods to get white rice.

  • Adopt jet rice mill to cool rice and discharge bran quickly.

  • Improve the rotating speed of rice mill.

  • Adopt four machines, namely, three emery roller rice mill, one iron roller rice mill.

  • Adopt pneumatic conveyer to convey bran, which can reduce the heat caused by frication.

7.Polishing and grading:

After rice mill, it is better to have one more polisher to remove the bran flour covered on rice. If no polisher, the bran flour covered on rice will change transparent, bright rice into milk white, which will affect the parboiled rice quality. According to the finished product requirements, you can adopt grading equipment to grade the final rice. And you also can adopt color sorter to remove versicolor rice.
