I live in clermont, Florida, USA, my red lady papaya plant started flowering at 5 months. From the picture i see the flowers are shaped conical it should be a female flower. My plant has some little fruits. I will post some pictures.
Organic FYM 10 kg per plant
Neem cake 1kg per plant
Single super phosphate 626 grams per plant . At time of planting & every 3 months
Muriate of potassium 260 gms At time of planting & every 3 months .
It sounds like your Red Lady papaya plant is off to a fantastic start, especially with flowering and fruiting at just 5 months! From your description, it seems like you’re on point with identifying the female flowers. Your organic feeding routine with FYM, neem cake, and super phosphate looks solid, and the addition of muriate of potassium and chelated zinc spray should help with growth and fruit quality. I’d love to see those pictures when you post them! Keep up the great work—looks like you’re in for a great harvest! for more details visit our website https://www.herbsdaily.com/
The Florida temperature has its good & bad. Plants grow well but pests & disease are more prevalent. My papaya plants are now infected with papaya ring spot and it seems like a loosing battle.
