I am exploring the pros and cons of selling residential home property in the city and buying agriculture land about 100 kms from the city. I would like to know following:

  1. Is this legally possible. (I was told that we can sell agriculture land and buy residential property in the city but NOT vice versa.)
  2. Any other issues.
  3. Any of forum member have done this earlier. I would like to have their opinion.

    Unconditional yes in Andhra Pradesh, Conditional yes in Karnataka
  2. Any other issues.
    It is a very long process, needs a lot of time and patience. Shop hard … Completing the acquisition took me almost two years…
  3. Any of forum member have done this earlier. I would like to have their opinion.
