I am Roopa, a textile engineer by profession -new to Farming. Recently bought a small piece of farmland in the outskirts of Bengaluru, now ready for LEASE/partnership/collaboration.

1.5 acres (approx 2 acres including kharab)

Completely fenced, borewell, electricity & krishi honda - ready for farming

32 kmts from Hosakote, Kolar district, in the outskirts of Bengaluru.

Fertile soil, east facing farm , thar road in front of farmland , strategic location.

By any chance if you are aware of any institutions or organisations or a mentor whom I could reach out for a plan , implementation, execution etc… please share details. As said the suggestion is too impressive, with the experiences I have gained, I m confident that step-by-step,with the right people/team, I can make sure the project is productive. Hope I m not bothering you with the continuous flow of questions…

In the meanwhile, I too will try to find/gather further information.

In the current geopolitical changing scenario , like every proud Indian we are also evaluating every possible resource , opportunity , potential and utilize those as underutilized potentials and present them in the domestic and global landscape as Rising India contribution for better tomorrow !
We are trying our hands with upcycled fabric based handmade , handstitched accessories , tote , patchwork garments , footwear etc. with local village women having some sewing , embroidery skills using waste fabrics collected from readymade garment units . Mostly ladies themselves participate in craft exhibitions and sell those products .
With your professional experience , and background you can do achieve much bigger sustainable , ecofriendly landmark with waste fabrics ,underutilized fibers , natural plant based dyes , technology and skill development … Just think and look out of the box ! Thanks and regards !
