Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961 amended. Now any Indian can purchase agricultural land in Karnataka

Good news to all those who are interested to buy farmland in Karnataka. Government of Karnataka has removed all obstacles of purchasing agricultural Lands by non-agriculturists. Now, section 63, 79 A, 79 B and 79 C of Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961 have been removed by way of Amendment through ordinance in July 2020. Therefore, now any Indian can buy agricultural land in Karnataka subject to ceiling limitation which too has been doubled now. Now any adult / family of five members can buy up to 24 acres of A category land, 36 acres of B category land, 54 acres of of C category land and 106 acres of of D category land. The non-agricultural income limit of Rs. 25 lakhs has also been removed. Any farm enthusiasts can buy agricultural land in Karnataka without any problem and legal hardships. Good luck.
