Hi All

Here is a nice link to know every thing about bananas. There is a separate thread on TC. Just go thru this site, there are many varieties which here in india we have never seen, though since ramayana times India has been banana country !!

bananas.org/

I am surprised at their interest and passion shown on growing bananas.

Dear friend,

Happy New Year

Plse uproot one diseased plant , see the roots (decaying), is there any foul smell is there? If it is

there is “Rhizhome Rot”.

Anyway plse spray SOP-500 gm + DAP-500 gm +Metalaxyl 36%- 100 gm + Streptocycline -18 gm +

Jagtonic -1 lit or rum -250 ml + soap powder 20 gm/200 lits water- spray to all plants

After 10 days

Validamycin -200 ml / thiophanate methyl -100 gm + Potassium Nitrate -1 kg + Humic acid powder-

50 gm + Jagtonic -1 lit/200 lits water spray.

Drip irrigation

give humic acid -500mg/plant + Phosphoric acid -5 gm/plant + Triacontanol -5 ml /plant + Potassium

Nitrate -10 gm/plant – calculate and do fertigation.

Refer Jagtonic - Boosting metabolism in plants

This is more than sufficient to solve your problem

As could be seen from the picture you have attached, it is not wilt due to disease but due to moisture stress. Th sucker is is not good. it is a water sucker which withers fast under moisture stress. Pl adopt organic mulching to retain moisture in the soil. if it is an isolated case you better remove and plant a sword sucker and manage well. if all the plants have similar problem take gentle sprays of water once in two days and maintain optimum moisture level in the root zone. The age of plant is too young to exhibit any symptom of fusarium wilt.

Has it been field tested by any recognized institutions/ or reputed farmers. It being organic there is no harm in trying. However, fusarium is a difficult organism to manage and if K-wilt can do it, it is fine.
