Is It The Right Time To Invest Agriculture Lands In India?

‘Buy land, they are not making it anymore’ a quote by Mark Twain, emphasises the importance of Agri-Realty and its immense value. India presently has one of the lowest lands holding per capita, lower than the global average. According to the Agriculture Census, the total number of operational holdings in India numbered at 138.35 million with an average size of 1.15 hectares per capita. Of the total holdings, 85 per cent are in marginal and small farm categories of less than 2 hectares. So this article is encouraging godless capitalists to buy up Indian agri-realty so that multinationals can break their food system as badly as ours? The last sentence of the first paragraph says it all; “…85 per cent are in marginal and small farm categories of less than 2 hectares.” Multinationals (who only care about human suffering insofar as it relates to their stock prices) are slobbering at the idea of denying Indian farmers their land (which is inter-generational wealth) on the basis that it could be operated more efficiently under a corporate owner all while they create a serf class out of the former land-owners.
Also; hello world!

If I am not wrong only Indians and Indian producer companies can buy agriculture lands. Multinational individuals and multinational companies can’t buy the agriculture land in India. Even NRI can’t buy an agriculture land. Apart from this, all the big land parcels are barren /non cultivated lands. If big investors/HNI’s in India come forward and buy these land parcels as a producer company ( producer company must connect with near by farmers) and make it fertile /cultivated land with the help of local farmers/farm labour support. Hence the land is become productive and brings into eco system as well as unemployment will reduce in the rural level.

Agriculture is definitely a profitable vocation and many repatriates are settling down in India investing in lands and adopting modern farming technics. If you will be interested please contact me
