I’m looking for feedback about the dwarf arecanut variety Inter Se Mangala for plantation in about 5 acres. Will it be suitable in tamilnadu? We have enough water but want your advice. How is the yield? and total life of the tree? I’m not seeing much information about this variety in internet too.
Since we will have labor problems in future for tall varieties, i have decided to choose dwarf variety. No other reasons.

Hi the availability is less for this breed so the cost will be high… and for 5 acres if you’re putting the same plant species it would be devastating if some disease occurs. Also areca requires minimum of 10 litre water per plant everyday and considering the situation in Tamil Nadu it would be hard.
