I would like to grow a jackfruit tree.

question: can it survive in ahmedabad climate?

any information would be highly appreciated.

It should be able to grow there.. it is quite versatile tree.. it can take on the chill as well as the humidity that south presents.. it will require some care during the first 2-3 years from the sun.. and watering in 3-4 days

ahmadabad can go up to 45 degrees centigrade in summer? can it survive that?thank you for your prompt reply.

They can grow it that temp but you need to take care of it for 4-5 years..

you need extreme precaution during the 1st to 2nd year.. provide 50% green shed, drape the root area with mulch, paint the trunk with chuna to avoid its cracking and maybe add local drip system
