Due to my health conditions( ii suffered a stroke in 2020 and another one in 2023), i cannot sit down and if i do- i cannot stand up without help. Though i love gardening, i am afraid i have to content being an armchair gardener till i bebome more mobile- which i hope would be soon. i, therefore have a help to tend my small 1 acre farm cum farmhouse. the problem is, he doesnt know the ABCs of gardening. the weather is now conducive and i would like to harvest some vegetables to show off to my wife and with my status and my help’s lack of knowledge, i am between a rock and a deep ocean, if you get my drift.
two days back i sat him down in the theatre room that i have and played some videos((in hindi) about grafting and air-layering, which he seemed to enjoy and more importantly- understand.
Are there any videos- in hindi- which teaches one how to grow vegetables and tend the plants? if he can understand and succesfully implemeny- hopefully - air layering and grafting- he sould be able to understand how to grow vegetales. i gave him som radish(muli) seeds and he planted-maybe 5 to ten seeds together result: the muli was deformed and did not grow.
I could of course sit him down and explain the rudiments, but i am afraid it is beyond me- what it would do to my blood pressure is beyond contemplation. explaning to him in simple language and using terms he is familiar without losing my cool? we all have our defects.
