45 thanks over 38 posts is self explanatory, keep going, Viks! Your openness to share is much appreciated; I also noted you erased most of the personal information - which is the way to go.
P.S. you may need to reupload LOI Approval.pdf - it shows 0 kb.
Thankyou very much for the support Chandra.
also for the feedback about the error in file.
there is so much to share, i was totally new when i started farming, and never could find proper data i was looking for. a lot is available in bits here and there, so i am thinking of sharing my experience, i have able to gather till today in one single blog so its more helpful.
Uploading the LOI approval file again.

LOI.pdf (179 KB)
Viks, in fact if you have the time, you could consolidate this into a wiki page/how-to and have all details and attachments. You can see a WIP example here: farmnest.com/Farm+Fencing
You could either do it yourself (we can create a wiki id for you) or do a word document that one of us could make a page out of.
ok ⌠so once the LOI is issued by NHB, the next step is a Pre-Inspection by the NHB authorities, to check if everything is ok, and as per the project report and documents submitted. Its more like a verification procedure.
File : 1 - Pre-inspection letter
File : 2 â LOI approval letter â after the pre-inspection is conducted, and everything ok. The LOI is approved.
DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR CLAIMING SUBSIDY â PART - 1
Now there is involvement of Bank and some financial instruments to help claim the subsidy.
so weâll break the documents based on the source.
a) Self made -
b) Local Agriculture Office
File : 1 - NOC (No Objection Certificate) from NHM (National Horticulture Mission)/District level agriculture officer - this is a certificate declaring that the land (survey number, name of owner etc) have not availed or applied for any other form of subsidy from their organization.
File : 2 - 7/12 extract - this document was submitted earlier while filing for LOI, but now, as the project is complete, you will have to get the entry of polyhouse updated in them. also the loan details would reflect if you have mortgaged the land.
c) Documents to be prepared by Charted Accountant
d) Documents prepared by Bank
File : 1 - Loan Approval Letter - this is a letter confirming the sanction of loan with a few other details for the proposed project.
File : 2 - Banks internal loan processing note - this is required to submit for the filing of subsidy. this is an internal document of the bank made by the concerned loan officer for the presentation of your proposal to the loan approving authorities. it has a background about the loan applicant, the activities proposed in the project, feasibility of the project, and other few details.
File : 3 - Project Completion Certificate - this is a certificate issued by the bank confirming that the loan has been completely disbursed and that the project has been completed and is ready for a joint inspection.
Loan Approval Letter.pdf (307 KB)
Internal loan processing report.pdf (910 KB)
Bank Completion Certificate.pdf (125 KB)
Documents to be procured from bank (continuation)
File : 1 - Bank Statement - this is the statement of the loan a/c with details of every transaction.
File : 2 - Bank Appraisal/Fact Sheet - this is a very important document as it has details of the cost approved by the bank for individual heads, these are based on the earlier submitted project report.
so it is very important to make a proper project report considering the fact that subsidy is allotted head wise/component wise and not on the total cost of the project.
There have to be pictures/Visuals submitted of all the heads mentioned in the project report. meaning, pictures of polyhouse, irrigation system, fogging system, machinery, water tank, labor quarter etc.
and finally there is a picture of the owner and authorities during inspection (NHB representative, NHM representative, bank representative) besides a standard format Display Board with a brief of the activities (owner name, financing bank, NHB subsidy detail, crop detail, area etc.) picture of this display board, i will post tomorrow, very sad that i do not have a single picture of it with me right now.
so finally after all these documents are submitted and all the requirement are completed, the subsidy is finally released after the authorities do their own scrutiny.
PLZ NOTE THAT YOU CANNOT LET THE LOAN BALANCE GO LESS THAN THE SUBSIDY EXPECTED !!
TO BE ON A SAFER SIDE LEAVE 30-40 THOUSAND MORE THAN THE SUBSIDY EXPECTED. OR ELSE YOU MAY HAVE SERIOUS PROBLEMS AS THESE SUBSIDIES ARE LINKED TO THE LOAN a/c AND ARE BACK ENDED SUBSIDIES
Again note that this filing was done in 2011 so the format, or requirements may have changed. also the bank documents/format will vary from bank to bank and based on their system and way of working.

45 DAYS PLANT
The shop keeper from where i got the seeds for my green capsicum told me the plant start production in 45 days. maybe, maybe not for me.
anyways,
so my observations are that the plants are growing properly and on an average/plant has :
Y-Pattern of branching - new shootings are developed in a Y pattern. [refer picture 1]
These plants have not been âPinchedâ as mentioned earlier.
As the plantation was done in last week of july, i was in a bit of a rush to get the plants settled as fast as i could, that is because the rains had started early, and the temperature had started to fall, and will further fall during winters. and i want maximum production in Oct-Nov-Dec, thats my target time to hit the market, as the demand is huge during festive and marriage seasons.
ok, so now the plants are tall, leafy enough, so i am going to use Growth Regulators again to slow down the plants now.
Growing tall capsicum plants is good, but a big issue is harvesting, spraying, maintenance, support tying etc it at times becomes tedious to manage plants which are taller than 6-7 feet. Ofcourse thats at a later stage (after 4-5 months of plantation) but still, thats an issue i knew i would have to face someday.
height of a capsicum plant, is dependent on the distance between two nodes. longer it is, taller the plant will go. if the nodes are short the plant will be short. so one has to decide how long they should be. i prefer keeping mine at about 2-4 inches. this would keep my plants easy to maintain. if you study the flowering pattern in capsicum, they are developed on the nodes, and then are converted into fruits. so again, if the nodes are too small, the fruits will get congested and result in improper shape.

hi Kunal,
really very well prepared, documented and presented information.
thanks a lot for sharing.
Vivek
hello guiz
does any one have any knowledge bout hydroponic cultivation in poly house of capsicum??
thanks
kunal
hey Kunal,
i have seen a hydroponic setup for capsicum in nasik, and studied quiet a bit about it.
the concept, everyone is aware of. but theres more to it than is commonly known.
its a new technology, looks fancy, but the real question is it it worth it?
the basic we need to understand is that it was developed in countries where there was no good quality soil. so there was a desperate need to have an alternate media.
but the agriculture scene in india is different, the methods, practises etc.
and india has been known to be a land of agriculture since ages. and honestly, if you ask me, the traditional farmer is more experienced than the research companies. so a mix and match setup or practise is what i choose to follow and establish.
so question specific, i wouldnt grow capsicum in hydroponics, may be lettuce iceberg or some short term high value crops.
i heard it in some movie âbetter technology necessarily doesnât mean better resultsâ
also a very old TV commercial for some washing detergent, where the shop sales man is trying to woo the lady with some expensive better packaged soap, and the smart lady says âwhy use expensive products when you get better results with a cheaper priceâ
so there are various aspects. lets discuss more yea kunal?
and let me tell you again, the capsicum growing file is really amazing. thanks again for sharing.
