Food safety/GAP advice for on-field packing of baby leaf veg

Hi there,

I want to package cut unwashed baby leaf vegetables right on the field without sending it to a processing/packing house.

Do you know if this will be acceptable under GAP/general food safety guidelines?

Is washing the produce a must if I am doing multiple cuts?

Washing the produce is a must .

But yet in supermarkets I see many packets labeled ‘unwashed’’. Do you know why?
