Farm Fencing Poles

Hello,

Please suggestion to fence my 11 acre farm land.

  1. Cement poles with 6mm steel , 8 feet height, 6 inch width, 5 inch breadth at 10 feet distance. Poles building with concrete ratio > 1:2:4
  2. Stone poles 7 feet, 4 inch width, breadth 3 inch at 8 feet distance.

Chain link mesh 3"

Share contact detail for stone poles. near to Udayigiri Mandal in the Nellore district, AP.

Thanks in Advance
Srinath

Use 2.50" PVC pipes - 1 length cut into 2 = 10’ – 1 length = Rs. 400/-.
Fill with concrete 3:2:1----sand: 3/4" jelly: cement----ratio concrete.
DO NOT PUT RODS ALL THE WAY down inside the pipe, keeping the pipe VERTICAL, NOT EVEN SLATING, it will bend.
Put 1 " long 10 or 8 mm steel rod on top, to tie any net etc.

Net cost works to about Rs. 300 per length of 10’.

We have tried it and it is a success.
Photos can be send if needed. very simple , cheap and best !

Nice. So you are just putting in a 1 foot steel rod, nothing more.

How did you manage to pour the concrete into the pipes? Did you place the pipes along the wall and get to top with a ladder?

Just keep in vertical in any place. We went up to the top of the sheet and poured the concrete. Same mix 1:2:3. Used a rod to ensure it is filled without air pockets.

Sir,
Very nice fencing arrangement. I would like to know:

  • What is the distance between two pole?
  • How much portion of pole is above ground level and under the ground level?
  • Detail specification of PVC pipe used.
  • Any electrification done to keep away big Animals?
  • Your review at present.

    Thanks & Regards
