Hello,
I am looking for Manual seeding machine to sow groundnut. The one I bought from Toolsvilla has plastic internal components, which brock down and spares are not available.
I understand your frustration. Many of the “budget” seeders sold on large online platforms are lightweight Chinese imports that rely on plastic gears or internal drums, which simply can’t handle the torque required for larger seeds like groundnuts, especially in tougher soil.
Since you are looking for something durable with metal components, you should look for “Mild Steel (MS)” or “Stainless Steel” manual seeders. These are typically manufactured by local agricultural engineering firms in hubs like Coimbatore or Bengaluru.
Recommended Local Manufacturers & Suppliers
| Manufacturer / Brand | Location | Why they fit your needs |
|---|---|---|
| Kovai Classic Industries | Coimbatore, TN | Known for heavy-duty metal agricultural tools. They make manual seed drills out of steel that are much tougher than plastic versions. |
| K S N M Marketing | Coimbatore, TN | A very reputable brand in South India. They specialize in manual seeders and often use metal or high-density reinforced parts. |
| Way 2 Agribusiness | Bengaluru, KA | They act as a major distributor and manufacturer for local farmers in Karnataka. They can provide machines with metal internals suitable for groundnuts. |
| Mechcreatio Industrial | Chennai, TN | They produce a “Mild Steel Groundnut Seeder” specifically designed for durability. It uses mild steel for the body and often brass for critical seed-dropping parts. |
| Venus Industries | Chennai, TN | Their “VIS Three Row Seed Drill” is a manual-push steel unit designed for the local soil conditions in Tamil Nadu. |
Very nice info sir, even I was looking for it but I was really not sure about it’s functionality…..Please let me know if we have such things for smaller grains. I was searching for sun flower but could not find since the shape of the seed not spherical would not pass through the dye to dibble into the soil…
