Chow Chow Yield

Hi! I am new to chow chow farming. I am told per week we can take 3.5 Tons of Chow chow per week per acre for 10 months. Is it true? In northeast states maximum of 10 Tons per acre per year is said to be the yield. Why is there this much difference. Currently I am getting around 400-500 KG of chow chow. What should I do to increase the yield.

Optimum conditions for growth and fruiting 29 deg C daytime and 15 deg C Night time .Above 29 deg C temp will result in blossom drop and small fruiting . Also chayote plant requires fertile and high organic matter enriched soil with 5.5 pH . Depth of soil is an important aspect as Chayote being a perennial plant enriched soil condition has to support vine plant for 3 yrs. If all the agro climatic conditions are meet then each Chayote plant can produce on an average 40 kg fruit per year .
