Can a 8 stage pump be replaced with 12 stage pump using the same motor in borewell

Hi All,

We have installed 8 stage pump in our bore well which works for 240 feet. Now due to water scarcity, we plan to install deep to fetch water at 500 feet.

To achieve the same, can we replace only the pump with using the same motor? Is it possible? Please advice.

For 500 ft depth , existing pump cannot be used, Check for req pump with vendors, with required horsepower motor,
Both no of stages and impeller specification Ex diameter determines horsepower requirement.
