Karnataka Govt. Was mulling partnering with farmers for harvesting Solar energy to solve acute power shortage. Now Govt. has announced the scheme. 5HP solar pump costs 5 lacs. Govt will pay 4 lacs, farmer can sell excess power to Govt @7.5/- unit. This will enable farmer to gain 50K to 1lac/year.
