Bird perches in pest and rat control - pest control in natural farming methods

The rats in paddy field cause considerable damage and yield loss. To control the rat , instead of going for poison …use " T " shape wooden bird perches in 10 to 15 location in the filed. The owl sit on the T shape wooden perches during the night time and eats 5 to 6 rats.

Like wise the the birds during day time sit on the T bird perches and eat the infectious worms of insect pest , particularly the fruit borer pest in Brinjal , Tomato etc…

Interesting! In many cases, the fencing posts where installed are ideal perches for all sorts of birds.

A few more perches around the interior will probably be needed to supplement fencing posts.

For barn owls the perches have to be at around 12 feet.
