From my experience, a big tractor is totally worth it if you have large land, heavy work, or regular farm operations. Bigger tractors give more power, better pulling strength, and handle tough soil easily — but only if you actually need that capacity.
For example, I use a Swaraj 855, and honestly, its working is the best for my farm.
It handles ploughing, rotavator, trolley work, and even long-hour farming without any problem. The engine is strong, fuel efficiency is good for its power, and maintenance is simple.
Here’s my general opinion on big tractors:
Strong power for deep ploughing & tough soil
Handles heavy implements with ease
Better productivity on large farms
Durable and long-lasting with proper maintenance
Higher fuel consumption compared to small tractors
You need enough land to justify the HP
Maintenance must be on time because the load is high
Bigger tractors cost more—but they pay off through performance
If you have a farm of 30+ acres, or you regularly do heavy work, a big tractor is the right choice.
And if you want reliability with strong performance, Swaraj 855 is one of the best options — I use it myself, and the working experience is excellent.
