Avocado saplings in Hyderabad

Hi,

I have been very enthusiastic to grow some avocado saplings. I live in hyderabad. I searched in a lot of nurseries for avocado plants. One of them even strongly discouraged me to not plant avocados as they grow only 500 fruits per tree that too 5-6 years after planting. I am disappointed. Is it really true? Does anybody have any idea where I can get some avocado plants

Thanks
Kamal Reddy

Avocado is also called Butter Fruit. In telugu, it’s referred as venna pandu

Thank you Sir.
Where shall we get it and what are the Economics of Cultivation of Venna Pandu.

I am myself looking for these details. Seems like it’s not gonna be easy procuring these details.

Avacado pear (venna pandu ) will grow only at higher altitudes (ie 1000 meter(3000ft) above the sea level). It will grow only at hill stations. Trying it in plains is not useful.
Thank you
