I 'M PLANNING TO START A DAIRY FARM WITH 8 COWS, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE PRICE OF A MILKING MACHINE.

Depends on the number of buckets that you need. From what i could gather the cost could vary from 20k to 1.5 lakhs or more

might want to go with a two bucket machine, which is available for around 40-60k.

Hi Tenny,

Recently I had been to Agri Expo held in Moshi Pune, Maharashtra. DeLaval gave me approx quotes:
-Cow milking machine costs around 58K
-Buffalo milking machine costs around 85K.

Price might vary in your area/state.
Buffalo milking machine can be used for both cow and buffalo but cow milking machine cannot be used for both.

1 milking machine (with 1 bucket and 4 holders) is sufficient for upto 10 animals.

There are several companies offering milking machines but as per my knowledge 2 companies are the best, DeLaval and one more (dont remember the name).

Even I am planning to start a dairy farm up to 10 animals.
