Dear all,

What is the cost difference between regular / traditional seeds vs organic seeds? I spoke to a vendor who was charging me Rs 100/- a kg for organic seeds from his farm.

Also do organic seeds yield less in comparison to traditional seeds?

Actual organic best seed rate is 140 rupees per kg.

does organic produce for Soya fetch a higher price if sold to oil extraction companies?

Isn’t Traditional, Organic & ZBNF to a large extent the same thing? They all use traditional heirlooms seed variety, don’t use chemicals for fertilizers/pesticides and use desi cow as manure supplier.

Main thing of concern should be the seeds of ANY plant should not come out sterile in 1st or 2nd Generation.
