Snake in Home Garden

Greetings

I have a small home garden. I am posted in Northern India so I left the house closed. Due to heavy rain now my neighbors complain few snakes inside my home garden.

  1. How do I prevent snakes entering my garden?
  2. Any pesticides? plants available?

Thank you.

Hi Merams,

I have heard Sarpagandha plants can ward off snakes. Another option is to make a concortion of garlic and spray it across the garden. Hope this helps.

Thank you. Is the Sarpagandha plant can ward off snakes? Where to get Sarpagandha plant?

You can plant Marigold, Snake Plant (Sansevieria trifasciata), Pink agapanthus, Sarpagandha or Lemon Grass. They all are the natural ways to keep snakes off. Snakes hate these plants. These plants have bitter tastes and strong smells that cause discomfort and disorientation to snakes when they slither over them.

These are some organic tricks help keep your garden serpent-free, regardless of the species.

Regards.
