Hi All…  
Can any experts suggest or throw some light on the ways and methods of storing our produce like Ragi, wheat, Rice for long term without putting any chemicals…  
In the past we used to have underground granary to store… Problem with rat infestation…  
More interested in organic ways of storing…

What quantities are you planning to store?  
Small quantities can be stored in air-tight 20Litres cleaned paint containers. You can havd better ptotection from rats if you store in cleaned oil canisters (50 litres drums) you can ask a welder / fabricator to fix a cover with hinges for easily open / close.  
The grains need to be propery dried and stored…

Hi Phil  
I am a beginner, in farming.  
These are rough figures, I am expecting 500kg of Rice, 800kg of Ragi and around 400kg of Toor…

What about the small mites & bugs you get after storing for some months?  
How to stop them or at least reduce their infestation…
