How can one be rid of rodents organically, without the use of poisons. Since this is required at my veggie growing areas, i don’t want to use rat poisons of any kind. Does anyone have any experience at controlling this pest?

Papaya to control
rats: This amazing fruit can also control rats. Just take
pieces of raw papaya fruits and spread them near the bund of the field. Papaya has a chemical substance which causes
tissue damage in the mouth of rats which feed on it. For an acre you require
only three fruits.
- Growing Mint also helps drive away Rats . Grow a few and see the difference.
o Try Peppermint
oil which is a natural deterrent. The
smell is simply too intense for rodents and they will not try to go near it.
Importantly It also helps to mask the scent of any tasty morsels that have been
missed while cleaning.You can get
peppermint oil in most health food stores and even major groceries . Place a drop or
two on a cotton ball.

Place the cotton
balls in areas where rats are seen and near the holes they have burrowed.

Clean up debris and trash.
Store feed in metal cans with tight fitting lids.
Keep grass short and maintain at least a 3-foot space around the building that is free of brush, trash, and weeds.
Dry up water sources such as dripping faucets or leaking pipes.
We follow these steps to control for our farm
