I have ~2.5 acres of land in Odisha. Near coastal area (50 KMs from Sea).
Land is used for paddy cultivation. Needs 4-5 ft leveling to start any initiative.
I would like to gradually scale up & make more intensive farming in next 2-3 years.
Requesting suggestion on what ventures I can start with… planning for a greenhouse in couple of years…
Appreciate any advise which can give me direction to start with…
what type of soil do you have. if paddy is grown for a long period chances of salinity usually will be more. Have a your soil tested first.
Do you have a water logging situation in rainy season? these points need to know before selecting what you want to grow.

As mentioned below, I’m planning to do 4-5 ft ground levelling … by filling in soil… someone suggested to fill 2 fts of sand first & then top it up with 2 fts of soil. as availability of sand will be cheaper.
But before that I need to construct a wall… above all requires additional expenses…
Any suggestion on a gradual approach will be helpful… Where I gain experience while I gradually get into Agriculture with investment in phases.
