Rain Gun Irrigation in windy areas

Hello everybody, Can some one managing farm under rain gun irrigation give their experiences of rain gun irrigation in windy areas. I am planning to go in for rain gun irrigation of my farm. The farm has mean wind speed of around 6 meters per second. Are there any methods to overcome high wind problem in rain gun irrigation.
Siva Sankara Reddy.

Each Raingun will have four ratings; input pressure, throw angle, throw distance, nozzle dia & discharge.

Meaning, raingun should get sufficient pressure to cover a throw distance at a trajectory with rated discharge per second.

So if you say wind problem, one way to over come is to increase the pressure at the input (ensure raingun is rated to handle this pressure). Most commonly this would mean almost doubling your motor’s capacity in the first place.
