Enhancement of Flowering in Pigeon Pea

Dear All,

We have 2 acer’s of pigeon pea under cultivation (3.5 months old). My Farmer partner asked me to get a powder, which enhances the flowering in pigeon pea. Does any one have any idea what its called ? is it organic/inorganic ? Is it harmful to the soil ?

Thanks in advance for the help

When the pigeon pea started or about to start flowering , you can spray

1.NAA 40 ppm and second spray after 15 days interval

  1. 2% DAP solution …Dissolve 2 kg DAP fertilizers in 5 litre water previous night and next day morning you stir completely the content with a stick , filter it through cotton cloth or filter available with you , pour the filtrate into 95 litres of fresh water …This will give you 2 % DAP solution …

It is advisable to spray over the plants in the morning around 6 to 7 or when the morning dews are settling over and visible on the leaves of pigeon pea…

If you do the above then your pigeon plants will put forth profuse and enormous flowering …

NAA is the abbreviation for Napthalene Acetic acid …a synthetic version of IAA ( Indole Acetic acid ) that is naturally produced in every plants as phytohormone …

Spraying above items in the right stage of plant growth , and at right time ( Morning hours before the sun lick all the dews from leaves ) and at right dosage with right spraying equipment ( hand operated sprayer suitably or pedal operated high volume sprayer ) fitted with fine spray nozzle will sure make wonders in inducing heavy flowering …

But you can try to locate that specific powder capable of inducing flowers in pigeon pea and post the details with trade name and chemical ingredients present in that powder for further reference …Also the company name selling this sort of product in the market …
