Your area is receiving south west monsoon rain in June or July and continues till september . Probably major part of Maharastra and Gujarat is dominated by Black cotton soil . Generally the drumstick crop is growing well in semi arid climate in soil type that has medium to high soil porosity …ie soil bulk density should be medium to high .
