Cutting down unwanted dried plants (clearing) from farm land, is it the best way

Hello everybody,

I am in the process of preparing my farm land for the first crop. There were unwanted dried sticks kind of plants through out the land. As I am planning for the natural farming and I do not want to use tilling or ploughing. I had only option left to clear it by hand but that was tiring and time consuming. I want to know is this the best way I could have used or is there any better way?

I am sure by now u must have the crop ready. but i wanted to know what you did with the unwanted sticks?
