i got to know about power generation by biomass fuel based power plants. is that a feasible idea for small farmers or villages. a Bihar based company, Husk Power Systems is utilising rice husk to produce electricity to be supplied to villages. i am wondering has it got the licence to distribute power? Can we replicate this idea in remote villages elsewhere?
Similarly i got to know about banana fibre being used to produce paper and cloth material. Innovators in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have used waste banana stems to extract fibre. Has anyone of you attempted this idea in your farm?
