All the harvest is done in Krishna Paksham ie. after full moon day for coming 5 days max. And all the planting and sowing is done in Sukala paksham, same 5 days no beyond it.

If you try to follow the steps. Just soak the seeds in water at the correct time. life starts in them as you soak in water.

There are few other things also to consider while harvesting and sowing.

There are 27 Nakshtra and each day has a nakstra.
Below are considered bad nakshtra and no activity is done during this time. There are exception here and the more you try to learn, deeper and complicated it gets.

  • Thrikketta
  • Bharani - However bharani nakshtra is best for pumpkin.
  • Pooraadam
  • Aayilyam
  • Chitra

Rest all nakshtra are considered good.

Sun’s energy also was considered. which is more active and powerful 4 times in a day.

This is optional. but you may consider for good results. work has to be started during this hour.

This can be easily noted in water bodies(ocean) You can ask any fisherman. again this last for 1.5 hours each session.

fisherman generally suggest some times to not venture in the sea. during this 1.5 hours its ok to venture because ocean will push you out. but after that water goes back and chances are you will be pulled in the ocean. I have personally experienced it.

During certain times you bleed a lot that is because of sun energy. and certain time it doesn’t(again have experienced it). Avoid dangerous activity with knife or other harmful objects during this 1.5 hours. or be careful while using them.

humans have 3 main veins which is located from the tip of the back bone to the top of skull and the three vein join near middle of the forehead also know as third eye in Hinduism(Modern science believes this is pineal gland). ida / pingala and sushmana vein. Pingala vein is Sun vein and sun influences this vein in the body.

Start planing before or after Rahukal.

Most traditional calendars will have rahu kal specified. If not then you can note it down. this is common throughout the year.
